I designed The Current in 48 hours for Phia's Design-a-thon, and it won. It imagines a new era of personalised editorial inside the Phia app.

Each story reads the week's culture in short form, then breaks a look down into exact matches you can shop, so reading and shopping are the same scroll.

The idea

Within all the noise, people are finding clarity.

The Cultural Proof slide on paper: handwritten political noise, economic anxiety, environmental worry and digital chatter, over "But within it all, people are finding clarity."
The Current lockup on paper: the serif title on guide lines with the New Feature and Editorial Feature labels and the italic phia wordmark

Reading The Current

Every look in a story breaks down into exact matches you can buy.

Three iPhones on black: a story header, an Alex Cooper outfit breakdown, and Exact Match cards such as a Golden Sequin Midi Dress at $150
An iPhone with shoppable Flowing Linen Blend Blazer and Golden Sequin Midi Dress cards, collaged with annotated red-carpet photos, on paper
Two product cards on paper: a Ferragamo fringe cardigan and a Balenciaga Le City bag, in black and white

Editions

Stories gather into editions, set like magazine covers.

Two tilted magazine covers on paper: a colour collage, Edition No. 09, What Copenhagen Wore, and a black-and-white street-style cover titled The Current
